Ace Of Base | PLAYLIST: THE VERY BEST OF ACE OF BASE | CD

Ace of Base's entry into Sony Legacy's ongoing Playlist series serves up nearly all of the group's hits: "All That She Wants," "The Sign," "Don't Turn Around," "Beautiful Life," and "Cruel Summer" are all here. The only quibbles are the inclusion of an acoustic version of "Lucky Love" and the exclusion of "Living in Danger," the 1994 single that's the only hit MIA on this tight 14-track budget-line collection. These absences may be annoying for those looking for a complete hits comp but they're not deal-breakers; even without them, this Playlist is a tight sampler of Ace of Base's best. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
