2009 marks the 70th anniversary of Blue Note Records which is home to the finest jazz and is synonymous with the cool hard-bop sound of '60s New York. This vinyl has not been released in the US in over 20 years. Recorded in 1963, this landmark album is the perfect showcase for Gordon's big tone and reunited him with the great Bud Powell on piano and drummer Kenny Clarke for the first time since the 1940s.
