Githeadformed initially as a one off for the swim ~labels 10th birthday bash in April 2004 and in spite of its all star line up " comprising Wires Colin Newman, Robin Rimbaud (Scanner), and Malka Spigel & Max Franken from Minimal Compact " the band quickly established a life and voice of its own. Now 3 years after the bands debut we have ART POP, Githeads 3rd release and most fully realised work to date. From the single chord build-up that serves as the intro to the albums opener, On Your Own(a pop classic for the disenchanted), to the spaced-out delays that clang the final epic Live In Your Head, ART POP is a real voyage.
