To mark the occasion, June toured the UK with her band and Aleyn was recorded live at various venues throughout the tour. However, while album was recorded in front of audiences to gain the maximum emotional impact, the CD itself plays like a normal studio album. Live albums usually deliver an audience led experience, but with Aleyn the focus is definitely on the performers and the songs.
