This Chicago outfit constructs theatrical No-Wave suites that morph from off-kilter dance anthems to punishing and ridiculous prog-inflected rock. Simple musical motifs quickly deform into charges of odd harmony and tangled polyrhythms, punctuated by syllable-stuffed cut-and-paste prose; and grounded in a love for catchy melodies a gravy-encrusted GLEE for the regressive metal and free jazz set.
