Limited edition 7" vinyl Record Store Day issue of 2 songs from Martin & Eliza Carthy's stunning forthcoming album, 'The Moral of the Elephant'.The legendary Martin Carthy and his equally legendary daughter Eliza will release their first album together, 'The Moral of the Elephant' on 2nd June 2014. In celebration of this and of this year's Record Store Day, Topic Records will release a special limited edition 7" vinyl-only single on April 19th 2014. 'Happiness' is a graceful, timeless song written and originally recorded by Molly Drake, Nick Drake's mother, and this is the very first time the song has been officially released by a major recording artist; Eliza Carthy has breathed new life into a beautiful song which deserves classic status. Martin Carthy first recorded 'The Queen of Hearts' for his very first album nearly 50 years ago, in 1965, the benchmark for folk singer-guitar players everywhere, and he revisits that song here with his daughter for a stately rendition that more than equals the quality of that first recording.
