1997 album featuring three members of Stone Temple Pilots fronted by Ten Inch Man's vocalist, Dave Goutts. 12 tracks.
Talk Show features three former members of Stone Temple Pilots, Dean and Robert DeLeo and Eric Kretz. Along with lead singer Dave Coutts, they've turned out an impressive debut and have obviously resolved not to repeat the past. Distancing themselves from the grunge-pop they made a career of with Scott Weiland, Talk Show displays a myriad of influences, from the Beatles to David Bowie and beyond.
They turn their collective inspirations and experience into a highly listenable collection of songs that still retains a fair amount of bite. Standouts include "Everybody Loves My Car," the world music-influenced "Wash Me Down," and the quirky "Peeling an Orange." TALK SHOW is a varied, often lush foray into the bustling world of alternative rock by a band that stands out in the crowd.
